Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie and Clyde is a contemporary British artist working across collage, photography, print and mixed media. Her layered, cinematic compositions combine self-shot photography with paint, distressed paper, and magazine cuttings to create surreal, fragmented cityscapes and dreamlike scenes.
Influenced by music, film, street photography and twentieth-century architecture - from modernism to brutalism - her work draws on real urban environments including California, Tokyo, London and Havana.
Bonnie and Clyde’s distinctive aesthetic shifts between digital and tactile processes, cutting, distorting and layering imagery to reflect the beautiful, messy, vibrant and chaotic nature of life in the city. Her work explores both the emotional and socio-political, weaving personal experience with a broader cultural commentary.
Based in Brighton, she has exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, and her limited edition prints and originals are held in collections around the world.
